LYRICS:
This if the life of glory
New life, true life
This is the life of power
New life, true life
Packed up my bags
Gone completely
The world behind
The tears and lies
This is the life
Of glory and grace
Packed up my bags
Gone completely
The world behind
With its shame and lies
This is the life
True life, God life!
and I say...
E mi o pads mo (I'm not turning back)
I'm a Testimony
Living in glory
Forever I am changed by love
E mi o pada mo oh
I'm a Testimony
Living in glory
By the power of Your grace and love
E mi o pada mo
"Let them praise his name with dancing!
Let them sing praises to him to the accompaniment of the tambourine and harp! For the Lord takes delight in his people; he exalts the oppressed by delivering them." - Psalms 149:3-4 NET

I've never cried over Nigeria but last week as those shots rang out, I did. Such an anti climax it was. I could barely sleep and there was this heaviness that was a mixture of many emotions...
...But thank God for God! As I got into my intimate time with Him in cloudy thoughts and mind, he reminded me of this song. A classic old Nigerian gospel tune but an anthem of victory and a powerful reminder of the eternal hope we have! As I sang it to Him I was completely refreshed, the weight melted before the fire of His word and presence. At times I wonder how difficult life would be without this access we have to come boldly and be refreshed, in the beauty of His presence, the joys of intimate worship!
With a few tweaks and extra lyrics added in my own flair, I bring to you this same experience in a special impromptu edition of the Surge Room series - Episode 5. I believe God it will bring you encouragement, inspiration and great hope.
In this fallen world there is victory, joy, strength, refreshing and pleasure flowing from beyond this realm and it is constantly available for anyone who believes. Tap in!
From my heart and room to yours in the Holy Spirit...

Starting this Monday I'm led to share sounds and communication from an altar of intimacy, which I'm led also to call The Secret Place.
The mode is "Unscripted Worship", sounds and songs previously unwritten and unrehearsed which burst forth at the spur of the moment - a mode of praise worship known as "Tehillah" in hebrew praise - a spontaneous song of the spirit; a new song to the Lord; a Spirit-breathed song that says whatever is in the heart.
"The Secret Place" is not only a place of protection but a place of intimacy, communication, wordless expressions, the very place of His presence and the place where battles are won as we receive amazing wisdom and strength.
Join me as we minister to Him and He dotes on us, speaks, rejoices, sings over us and quiets us with His Love [Zeph 3:17].
It will come to Instagram in one minute videos, while IGTV, YouTube, Facebook and other social platforms will have the long form videos. #TheSecretPlace.
Please subscribe and do share with me to the world.
For anyone waiting upon a Divine answer. An emotive song of hope and a prayer of deliverance.
I love you, God—
you make me strong.
God is bedrock under my feet,
the castle in which I live,
my rescuing knight.

Lagos, Nigeria. Tulu Ugo is an expression of high praise. The closest English translation to the root meaning of this phrase is "clothe yourself with glory". The video captures Nigerians of diverse backgrounds giving a dance praise right in the middle of everyday life, as music minister Obiora Obiwon delivers a rhythmic flow over a genre melting beat produced by Phat E.

Thank you for Your mercy
Thank you for Your mercy
Lord if not for Your mercy, where would I be
Thank you for Your mercy
Thank you Lord You came through
Because of Your love I pull through
Troubles like a flood
Burning flaming hot
But Your mercy said No
Shame where is your victory?
Death where is your victory?
Your mercy like a rock
My shield and hiding place
From the fiery darts of the enemy
Thank you for Your mercy
Thank you for Your mercy
Lord if not for Your mercy, where would I be
Thank you for Your mercy
If you long for mercy shout Amen!
If you need His mercy shout Odogwu Jehovah!
If you long for mercy shout Amen!
If you need His mercy shout Odogwu Jehovah!
Your mercy like a rock
My shield and hiding place
From the fiery darts of the enemy
If you need mercy call Him Baba!
If you need mercy call Him Odogwu Jehovah!
If you need mercy call Him Baba!
If you need mercy call Him Odogwu Jehovah!
Alleluia!

Lyrics:
What is my life worth?
Just living from breakthrough to breakthrough?
(sigh) A constant hope for a miracle?
I live in these days of darkness
I smell my desperation of things prayed for but not yet received
Like, "pass me not oh gentle Saviour", but He does not seem to hear my cry.
I... I celebrate with you my sister with new child,
My brother with new car,
And then I walk home afterwards alone, hungry, childless
Being beaten by emptiness is not enough, I even get beaten by rain
Emphasizing my pain (sigh)
Still I'm supposed to remain joyful?
Everything is bitter around me but I'm the salt of the earth?
I understand we aren't Christian to only be happy,
I mean... Jesus was killed at thirty three,
But what is our life's worth?
Pilgrims progress, the Christian's war
and this song... the one for the future
A New Beginning
A brand new life
Lord we wait
To touch the sky
A new season
To commence the time
And that One day
When we shall rise
Welcome to Floodgates
(The beginning, the beginning of the overflow)
The new overflow
(The beginning, the beginning of the overflow)
Welcome to Floodgates
(The beginning, the beginning of the overflow)
The new overflow
(The beginning, the beginning of the overflow)
And just like that it started
Not like mercy drops round me were falling
No, mighty heavy showers on me fell
I have robes of a million colours, more than enough to drink and to eat
It's like butter lines the soles of my feet
I smell the rain, even as I feel the pain
I smell future and lushness and greens and hopes and great dreams,
In the place that my heart goes, that seat place before the fire of the Almighty
The place of the Holy Spirit
I'm reminded of things told me from the past
This prophesy... and though bitter is what my life tastes like today I laugh
Because tomorrow holds for all of us a belly-full day!
But what are our lives worth?
Only breakthroughs and after breaking through
Do you see through this sign
and this symbol of a time to come?
We walk in eternal life on this earth,
The prophesy of eternity; do you feel the breeze?
I hear trumpets and the sound of returning
Heaven is calling
We will rejoice in the final breakthrough when our walk here is done!
Golden streets, singing beings, precious things beyond words and sights
These flights of wings attaining altitudes only ever experienced in fourth dimension dreams
See my brothers to my left, friends and family to the right
Angels in between we are flying!
and we can be seen... sad for those left behind
Yet exhilarating these sights
Mountain tops we leave behind
Heaven is calling
I see Jesus!
Did you hear what I said...?
I see Jesus!
Glorious! Sword bearing from His mouth
Eyes burning with gold and bright!
A thousand waters flood through my ears
"Welcome" He said... Ooooohhhh we are here!
Ooooooohh we are here!
In the overflow
We are here...
In the overflow
We are here...
We are here in the overflow
Ah... man, Ah... Men,
Amen!
(Send Your revival, send Your power, come right now...)
The new overflow
Love Songs: "Kiss me and kiss me again, for your love is sweeter than wine" - Song of Solomon 1:2 NLT. With a conviction that believers should show the world how sweet, deep and romantic true love between man and woman should be in God's own institution marriage, Obiora Obiwon and his wife Nkechi hit the studio to record this duet ballad "When I Say I Love You Too". The song is a remix/sequel to "When I Say I Love You" from the Gold Water album and currently appears on Obiora Obiwon's latest album entitled "Floodgates: The Beginning Of The New Overflow".
